Privacy Policy

SERAE is built with respect for your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app uses and what happens to it.

What we collect

To give you an account and a practice shaped around you, SERAE collects a small amount of information:

• Your email address, when you create an account.
• Your mood check-ins, to shape your sessions and your daily letter.
• Your journal entries, which are private to you.
• Your session history and streak, to track your practice.
• If you allow tracking when asked, your device's advertising identifier and basic app-activity events (such as app opens and purchases), used only to measure our advertising.

We show no ads inside SERAE. The only information ever used for advertising is the limited measurement data described below, and only if you allow tracking.

What stays on your device

Most of your practice lives on your device: your journal, your streak, your preferences, your chosen voice, and your progress. If you create an account, this information also syncs to a private record tied to your account, so it is there if you change phones. You can export your journal, or delete everything, at any time from Settings.

How your data is used

To deliver core features, SERAE relies on a few trusted service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• An authentication provider, to create and secure your account and sync your practice across devices.
• A payment provider, together with Apple, to manage your membership.
• An AI provider, which writes your personalized daily letter. To do this, a small amount of context (such as your mood, your streak, and a short excerpt of a recent reflection) is sent so the letter can be written. It is processed under that provider's privacy policy and is not used to train their models.
• A secure server, which stores the limited data needed to run features such as the daily letter, and to receive feedback you choose to send.
• An advertising partner (Meta), which — only if you allow tracking — receives your device advertising identifier and basic app-activity events (such as app opens and purchases) so we can measure which ads bring people to SERAE. Your journal entries, mood check-ins, and reflections are never shared with Meta or any advertiser.

Your meditations play from audio bundled in the app, so the sessions themselves are not generated from your personal data.

Advertising and tracking

We run ads to help new people discover SERAE. To understand which ads work, we use Apple's App Tracking Transparency. When you first open the app, you are asked whether to allow tracking. If you allow it, your device advertising identifier and a few app-activity events (such as app opens and purchases) are shared with our advertising partner, Meta, purely to measure our advertising. If you decline, this does not happen. You can change your choice at any time in your device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Your private content — journal entries, mood check-ins, and reflections — is never shared for advertising, whatever you choose.

What we never do

We never sell your data. We never show you ads inside SERAE. We never share your journal entries, mood check-ins, or reflections with advertisers. We never use your private content to train AI models.

Subscriptions

Memberships are processed by Apple through StoreKit. SERAE never sees or stores your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your App Store account settings.

Your rights

You can export your journal entries whenever you wish. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete my account. This removes the data associated with your account from our systems.

Children

SERAE is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear at this URL with a new date at the top.
